Yangshuo Town
Many people who come to Yangshuo are so preoccupied with the surrounding karst landscape that they do not spend much time in Yangshuo town itself. There is quite a bit to do here. Apart from shipping and haggling prices on the main tourist streets, there are a multitude of backstreets with all sorts of interesting eateries and little shops. Explore and be daring. There are Chinese tea shops where you can sample ‘ten year’ old tea, or even ’fifteen year’ old tea. It looks very black, but produces a very mild light looking and tasty tea, all served from miniature teapots into miniature teacups. Additionally, you can also sign up for Chinese cooking classes, experience foot reflexology or attend a tai chi class in the local park.
