Not far from the Yangshuo Town, this is another quaint peak on the bank of the Li River, which resembles the thumb. According to the legend, long long ago, there were eight supernatural beings came here. They loved the mountains and waters here so much that they wanted to left some to commemorate it. One of them proposed to make a poem, but another said :'I will leave something better than that', then one hill rised from the flat groud after he pointed that.  This is the Thumb Peak.
