Shopping on West Street

Pay a visit to west street to see the colourful painted handicrafts is interesting. Maybe you can't sure what type of handicraft they are, traditional or modern one, most of them are native artwork by the Zhuang minority people, made of wood and can be hung on wall. And the colourful like carrying some implied messages.The Sundress and other "Batik" shirts, as well as the handicrafts are popular here. These materials were locally dyed and treated.

Yangshuo Local Makets

 

The villages in the vicinity of Yangshuo are best visited on market day, which operate roughly on a three-day, monthly cycle. Thus, market take place every third day starting on the first of the month for Yangdi and Baish, on the second of the month for Fuli and Putao, and every third day starting on the of the month for Yangshuo and Xingping. However, after the market the next one is four days, not three, but this doesn't happen in all towns. You can ask the receptionists in hotel or bar if you are still confused. You can get many local folks and foods on the markets. Don't forget to choose some as souvenirs.

Full day tour of Yulong River

 

The scenery along the Yulong River rivals that of Li River, and it's an area that usually leaves the best impression on most visitors to Yangshuo. It's possible to do a full day tour of the river and neighbouring sightss, including Double Flow Crossing, Yulong Bridge, Big banyan Tree, Moon Hill etc. From Yangshuo, head towards Moon Hill, before crossing the Gongnong bridge over Yulong river, turn right up the concrete road, it's possile to continue along this path all the way to Yulong bridge and Baisha Town. If you do this jaunt, make sure to stop at Jiuxian Village. There is a Tang dynasty wall and the village is packed by the Qing and Ming dynasty stone buildings that intereting rooftop carvings and offbeat doors. It's one of the best routes day out.

Yangshuo climate

 

Yangshuo climate is semitropics monsoon region, with abundant sunlight and rain. Temperature degree is 19 and sunlight is 1465 hours on average in a year. The seasons are abvious in Yangshuo. Usually, the best time to visit here is from March to November. You can enjoy the fresh and green mountains in spring. The weather is a little bit cold at this time, but it's fit for hiking. Walking in the slight rain among the mountains and paddyfields is very romantic. With the sweet wind and gauzy fog, the emerld views seem to be more fantastic which makes you feel walking in the fairyland. If you come here in summer, everything is more greener, and the temperature is higher. There are many activities you can do, such as kayaking, exploring the caves etc. When you come here in autumn ,you will enjoy another beautiful side of Yangshuo. Especially many local fruits are available at this time of year. Totally, the climate here is mild, and the scenery is one of the best under the heaven.

Yangshuo flood causes the vegetables short supply

   Continuous many days of heavy rain have caused harvest and supply problems for the vegetable market, the prices of many vegetables go up  both in the wholesale and retail markets in Yangshuo. what was worse, the charge for local vegetables have all increased variably in wholesale markets, some costing three times as much. However, they are still in short supply .

Dragon River Retreat's great garden

 

   We spend long time to build this garden.It is our great  private garden.On the bank of Yulong river in Dragon river retreat.
A huge wayside pavilion in the garden.It can offers more than 40 people take site inside together.
We planted many kind of trees and flowers.Osmanthus trees,Tea trees,Peach trees,Willow,Azaleas,Rose,Plum,etc.
It will be amazing next spring.
This garden is very good for relaxing,eating,reading.Also good for make the big BBQ party here.
