Stone Village is located in the middle of MeiLin mountain area in Putao. Every bulding in the village is built by stone pieces and the whole village leans on the mountains, which is used stones to make a long great wall with four ancient big stone gates to protect the village, divided into four gates on the  east, south, west and north side of the village. It also has 24 small gates along the stone walls. The entire village could be made into a museum, hence its name.
