Life in Yangshuo

We had been counting the seconds for the Beijing Olympic Games. After a long time, we finally can fix our eyes on it now . With exciting mood sitting on the front of the TV, and when I had the first sight on the opening ceremony, I believed this must be a great work . On the one hand, I have faith in the director Zhangyimou who is a genius; On the other hand, the scene was so splendid that I couldn't find proper words to describe that. It impressed me deeply at the beginning of it, some very beautiful girls were elegantly dancing in the light and music with such a huge and great Chinese old painting which was stretching . And then, tens and thousands of actors were performing on the huge stage wearing chinese old clothing in traditional way. I guess which showed Qin dynasty cultures or long before. Seeing from the top of the nest, they changed their formation from time to time, sometime the formation looked like a big Chinese word, and sometime is another wonderful painting. To everyone's surprise, so many people perform this show shipshapely without any mistakes. Someone told me:" it's pretty hard to control so many actors in such a huge stage, but this is a perfect one." At this time, which also reminded me of the Impression Sanjie Liu in Yangshuo, which is the largest natural show in the world, also directed by the famous director Zhang yimou. If the weather permits, Impression will be showed on the Li River in the open air, about 600 actors perform it with kinds of dances, sounds and colorful reflections. This show is very similiar to the opening ceremony in Beijing Olympic Games.  I really appreciate we have such a great director in this country.  So proud of the Perfect work, Great artist, Great nation!

Hiking is a good choice. You can find out the merry cherished in childhood, and edify your heart. Especially, the paddyfields and the sky are very clean and blue after the rain, everywhere will make you feel the spring is very much in the air. Sometimes you will encounter the child sitting on the back of the cattle, sometimes you can enjoy the lovely animals playing beside the road. It’ s hard to say how much beautiful the hike is. Especialy when you are hiking in the section between Yangdi and Xingping. Emerld green mountain comes one by one, the bamboo forest overlaps along the river. It’s more than one poem or painting can be described.

The most attractive things in west street is not there are many foreigners or bars, just because of the combined cultures between the oriental and western.. the ancient west street and modern bars, any one of them is losed will make the highlights here gloomy. Taste one cup of coffee with calm mood in this peaceful land also can be charming. Many backpackers come here are to go for the special emotional appeal. When the night is falling, stars are brightly shining, tourists come back here, the flourishing will make you feel you are walking in Champs Elysees in Paris, a dreamy land, a paradise. It's easy to be moved by the atmosphere. Maybe just the simple word 'hello' will get you close to each other with the foreigners. It's said that lots of romantic stories come out from here. So it's possible that you the next one.

Because many places are peaceful and beautiful, some of them seem to be a long colorful painting, some of them seem to be vivid animals. Whether it is rainy or sunshine, it's easy to find the beauty of it and have fun. The life is easygoing here, everything is out of the pressure of the busy life. Yangshuo is a dreamy place for many tourists who want to see the real natural landscape and touch the countryside life. Surrounded by plentiful of karst peaks and crystal water, everywhere is filled with many original sights. Most of place, you can see many buffalos swimming and eatinng in the river or lying on the bank of the river leisurely. Sometimes you can see the boy sitting on the back of the buffalo with flute, and sometimes you can see the farmer carrying the plow after it. Well, if you come here in spring you can see they are working together in the paddyfields. After they finish their work, the buffalo will swim in the river and the mountain cattle will climb up the hills to eat grass. Both the buffalos and mountain cattles are easy to be looked after, so feed them in the river or on the mountain is one interesting job. This kind countryside life is easygoing so that you can have a try if you have friends here or get chance.

An earthquake, magnitude 8.0, struck Sichuan province of China at 2:28PM, May 12, 2008. This terrible event took place a month ago, but it have been affacting many people's hearts. The epicenter of the earthquake, Wenchuan, is about 90 miles from Chengdu. The earthquake released more energy than 500 atomic bombs, 30 times more than the Kobe earthquake in Japan, 1995. Up to this day, there are more than 67,000 confirmed dead, more than 20,000 still missing, and more than 4.7 million houses collapsed or heavily damaged. Many other cities in China are also influenced. But there was no complaint, no looting, chinese people stand by each other very tight.  People in every corner rushed to rescue, donated blood etc; The people in Yangshuo were self-motivated to donate money and other things, some of them waited hours to donate their belongs. Also, many foreigners in Yangshuo did their best to help the victims out. All that I want to say is:' Where there is life , there is hope; Where there is love , there is power. Where there is a will, there is a way. We will win the battle against the earthquake at last.'

As a matter of fact, you don't need to spend too much money except eating and lodging. Just cycling around the county and the countryside will give you enough enjoyment.TheXilang Hill is one of the best scenic spot for you to appreciate the whole views in yangshuo town, and it' located in the Yangshuo park, a small forest worth seeing. ith one bottle of water and bike, you can go farer to the countryside, Everywhere is picturesque so that you don't need to pay money to enter the scenic spot charged. Of course, you'd better go over the Yangshuo map and decide which route is better for you. Usually speaking, tourists will choose the route from Yangshuo to Gaotian Town, and then turn right, head towards the Baisha Town along the Yulong river, get a big round then return to Yangshuo Town. Secondly, you can go down along the Li River via Fuli Town to Xingping. Well, this route is longer, so you had better consider your energy is enough, but I think it' worth visiting, you can enjoy the original looks outside the countryside.

Hunting foods at farmer's markets will have more fun. Actually, on the one hand to see what the animals look like alive and realize the original things that we eat them for lunch or dinner. And it will give you another enjoyment when you are bicycling around the market outside Yangshuo. On the other hand, it will make you know where their foods is coming from and how to tell the good from the bad for your health. You know, some animals died or dirty are harmful for your body.
